Shift: Day - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

PURPOSE

The Casino Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the casino’s financial operations by performing daily audits and reconciliations of revenue and cost centers. This position safeguards the organization’s financial stability by maintaining compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. By identifying discrepancies, mitigating risks, and improving audit processes, the Casino Auditor helps uphold the integrity of financial reporting and supports the overall success of the casino. Additionally, this role fosters cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring that all revenue-generating areas operate transparently and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit & Reconciliation: Perform daily revenue and cost audits with accuracy and efficiency. Prepare journal entries and reconcile assigned revenue and balance sheet accounts.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all transactions comply with internal controls, NIGC regulations, the State Compact, and IRS requirements. Monitor internal control procedures and report any financial or regulatory risks.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Identify trends, discrepancies, or irregularities and report findings to leadership. Assist in financial analysis to support decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate audit records, policies, procedures, and checklists. Distribute the Daily Operating Revenue (DOR) reports to the Executive Team.
  • Technology & System Utilization: Utilize financial and casino management systems to extract, analyze, and verify data. Troubleshoot system discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate departments.
  • Training & Development: Provide training on audit processes for both gaming and non-gaming areas. Assist in assigning daily work tasks and supporting team member performance reviews.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with Finance, Gaming, Cage, and other departments to ensure financial accuracy. Support external auditors and compliance teams during regulatory audits.
  • Other Responsibilities: Assist leadership with special projects, compliance updates, and process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. An additional two (2) years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, tables, and data management. Ability to audit various departments within required timeframes.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong mathematical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and reports. Ability to identify and report financial trends, discrepancies, and irregularities.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of federal and tribal gaming regulations, including NIGC, IRS, and State Compact requirements. Ability to stay updated on changes in compliance and financial reporting standards.
  • Attention to Detail & Accuracy: Ability to identify and correct numerical and documentation errors. Strong focus on accuracy when reconciling financial transactions.
  • Time Management & Multitasking: Ability to prioritize multiple audits and meet strict deadlines. Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Confidentiality: Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain audit findings. Strong integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial data.
  • Work Environment & Expectations: Ability to work in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy. Availability for irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must pass Entry-Level Accounting and 10-Key Calculator Tests.

PREFERRED

Education and Certifications

  • One (1) year of Revenue Auditor experience in a casino environment.

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
