Responsibilities and Duties:
Accretive Technology Group is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing revenue recognition processes for multiple subsidiary companies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the preparation of accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate will have expertise in revenue accounting principles, multicurrency transactions, intercompany transactions, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for optimizing financial operations.
We need a team player who is willing to “do what it takes,” who is flexible and can manage concurrent tasks/projects. This role is fully onsite within our downtown Seattle office.

Qualifications and Skills:
Revenue Recognition:
- Manage the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with established policies.
- Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries, adjustments, and deferrals.
- Record revenue in the following currencies including but not limited to: AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP & USD
- Reconcile revenue accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies for resolution.
- Record and resolve intercompany revenue-related entries.
- Revenue Data extraction from merchant sites to be analyzed, reviewed, parsed, and posted.
- Identify and implement enhancements to revenue recognition processes and systems.
- Partner with IT and finance teams to optimize ERP and billing system functionalities.
- Onboard new merchants and update SOP accordingly. Maintain current SOP’s for revenue recognition process from start to finish for all merchant accounts and for all companies.
- Support billing processes by ensuring revenue is accurately recorded and invoiced.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a focus on revenue accounts.
- Support audit processes by providing detailed revenue schedules and documentation.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal controls and revenue accounting procedures.
- Assist with annual GAAP audits by performing walk-throughs & providing revenue related support and any additional required documentation.
- Identify and implement enhancements to revenue recognition processes and systems.
- Partner with IT and finance teams to optimize ERP and billing system functionalities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage 100, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with subscription-based or recurring revenue models.
- Familiarity with multi-entity or global revenue accounting practices.
