About the Position
The Recruiter is a full-time position, responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process and supporting all hiring needs at MVP Sports Clubs. This individual will deliver an exceptional experience for internal hiring managers and potential new hires, while helping to strengthen and support the culture at MVP Sports Clubs. This position is a part of the Human Resources Department, reporting to the HR and Benefits Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage all seasonal, part-time, and full-time recruitment processes for MVP Sports Clubs, including:
- Coordinating all new requisition requests and maintaining efficient requisition tracking.
- Effectively determine the specific needs and requirements of new positions.
- Posting job opportunities internally and externally
- Reviewing and sourcing candidates
- Preparing interview guides and questions, with assistance from hiring manager when required
- Scheduling and conducting all interviews (video, phone and onsite)
- Coordinating background investigations
- Extending offers
- Focus on creating a positive and memorable recruitment experience for potential new hires.
- Develop strong and meaningful relationships with managers to provide the best internal recruitment support by developing effective recruiting strategies and hiring timelines for open positions.
- Coordinate, schedule and execute team member orientation to include introduction to the company, new hire paperwork, uniform distribution, and other various team member orientation requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic filing for all new hires, including tracking and maintaining I-9, minor forms and other state requirements. Perform accurate data entry in ADP (HRIS).
- Daily management and maintenance of applicant tracking system (ATS) workflows in ADP to ensure an efficient, timely and organized hiring process.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote and share MVP Sports Clubs’ culture, career opportunities, and team member experiences, positioning the organization as an employer of choice within the community and fitness industry.
- Define sourcing strategies and establish recruitment resources by proactively engaging with candidates through LinkedIn and other platforms to build a strong talent acquisition network.
- Proactively research new recruitment resources, tools and processes.
- Deliver recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate pipeline activity, and others to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Establish a strong college relations presence across all regions of operation, including attending and organizing career fairs and on-site recruiting events as needed.
- Manage stock and communication with external vendors for uniforms, embroidery and name tags.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws related to recruitment, compensation and hiring practices.
- Develop and manage MVP Sports Clubs internship program.
- Update and maintain job descriptions.
- Conduct, analyze, and report on exit interviews for all separated team members.
- Assist with team member special occasions/recognition programs.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three to five years of human resources experience, with an emphasis in recruiting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Sound judgment and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Computer skills required (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend recruiting events, as needed.
- A valid driver’s license, good driving record and access to your own transportation.
- Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; see, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
