Job Description
- Social Media & Newsletters (8 Hours)
- Content Publishing: Establish consistent posting schedules and manage the end-to-end publishing of clipped videos and program updates across social media channels.
- Newsletter Administration: Draft and design clear and engaging student newsletters using Mailchimp.
- Creative Content: Write compelling captions and design visual updates to keep the online student community informed and active.
- Resource Development & Administration (6 Hours)
- Guide Creation: Update and design comprehensive, easy-to-read student resource guides.
- Administrative Filing: Maintain and update master program calendars and organize the adjunct faculty filing system.
- System Maintenance: Posting semester schedules, editing and uploading, updating student lists, Capstone/Thesis presentations, updating community site, formatting course syllabi and uploading to Simple Syllabus
- Student Support & On-boarding (6 Hours)
- Student Outreach: Draft and manage email communications regarding essential university events, deadlines, and resources.
- New Students: Support Program Coordinator with incoming students, adding students
Qualifications
- Skills are focused on student support and program coordination.
- Candidates must be proficient in managing learning management systems like Brightspace and communication tools such as Mailchimp and
- Canva to facilitate student on-boarding, outreach, and marketing.
- Basic video editing skills: Comfortable using or learning simple tools (like QuickTime, Canva, or iMovie) to trim and cut raw video clips.
- Familiarity with social platforms: Know how to navigate standard uploading and posting of content, including videos on social media channels.
- Success in the role depends on strong organizational skills to maintain academic calendars and the creative ability and strong writing skills to produce clear, accessible resource guides for students in the program
