Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee Relations

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related support.
  • Build positive relationships with employees and management to promote a productive work environment.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations, including gathering facts, interviewing involved parties, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Support corrective action processes and performance management initiatives.
  • Assist with conflict resolution and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.

Benefits Administration

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding health insurance, retirement plans, leave programs, and other company benefits.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefits-related documentation.
  • Partner with benefits vendors and brokers to resolve employee concerns.

Payroll Support

  • Serve as a resource for employee payroll questions and concerns.
    • Assist with payroll processing activities, including reviewing time records, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate payroll administration.
    • Coordinate with payroll providers and internal departments to address payroll-related issues.

    HR Operations

    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
    • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities.
    • Support recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews and facilitating new hire paperwork.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
    • Participate in HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and policy implementation.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
    • Experience conducting employee relations investigations.
    • Knowledge of payroll processes, benefits administration, and employment law.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
