The Collections Senior Supervisor will lead daily operations for assigned collections activities, ensuring teams achieve performance goals while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service. This role requires effective team management, process optimization, and collaboration across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts to achieve collection goals and operational objectives.
- Plan and organize departmental resources, including staffing, tools, workflows, and operational priorities.
- Establish consistent processes, performance standards, and best practices to improve team effectiveness.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of team members.
- Monitor team productivity, quality metrics, and compliance requirements to ensure operational standards are consistently met.
- Conduct performance audits and provide feedback to improve individual and team results.
- Identify operational challenges, evaluate solutions, and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Review, update, and maintain policies and procedures to support efficient operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments, healthcare partners, payers, and vendors to resolve issues and improve workflows.
- Promote effective communication and relationship management across multiple teams and organizational levels.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of sensitive healthcare and financial information.
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare collections leader with a strong background in revenue cycle management, team supervision, and process improvement. They should have the ability to manage teams effectively while navigating healthcare billing requirements and payer regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare billing, collections, revenue cycle, or patient business services management.
- Required experience in home infusion services.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing practices, reimbursement processes, and third-party payer regulations.
- Experience interpreting healthcare industry changes and adapting operational processes accordingly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across departments and with external partners.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of CPR processes is preferred.
- Competitive annual salary range of approximately $62,400–$104,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
