Job Summary: The CAD/CAM Drafter is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for engineering and manufacturing purposes using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software. This role involves working closely with engineers and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient design and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models based on specifications and calculations provided by engineers.
- Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Maintain and update CAD/CAM files and documentation.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of CAD/CAM processes and best practices.
- Perform quality checks on completed drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the engineering team with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
