Job Title: CNC Programmer/OperatorLocation: Ogden, Utah
Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team in Ogden, Utah. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery (Weeke, SCM, Shop Sabre) to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC programming and operation, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming & Operation· Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (Weeke, SCM, Shop Sabre) to manufacture parts to precise specifications.· Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop efficient machining processes.· Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing parts.· Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.· Perform machine setup, calibration, and adjustments as needed.Quality & Process Improvement· Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.· Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues to maintain production efficiency.· Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase productivity.· Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and production activities.Maintenance & Safety· Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and report any malfunctions.· Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.Collaboration & Communication· Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and timelines.· Participate in cross-functional initiatives to support company goals and continuous improvement.
Qualifications· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing, machining, or related field preferred.· Minimum 2 years of experience programming and operating CNC machines, preferably with Weeke, SCM, or Shop Sabre equipment.· Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks) is highly desirable.· Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
