Job Title: CNC Programmer/Operator

Location: Ogden, Utah

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team in Ogden, Utah. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery (Weeke, SCM, Shop Sabre) to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC programming and operation, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Programming & Operation

· Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (Weeke, SCM, Shop Sabre) to manufacture parts to precise specifications.

· Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop efficient machining processes.

· Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing parts.

· Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.

· Perform machine setup, calibration, and adjustments as needed.

Quality & Process Improvement

· Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.

· Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues to maintain production efficiency.

· Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase productivity.

· Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and production activities.

Maintenance & Safety

· Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and report any malfunctions.

· Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Collaboration & Communication

· Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and timelines.

· Participate in cross-functional initiatives to support company goals and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing, machining, or related field preferred.

· Minimum 2 years of experience programming and operating CNC machines, preferably with Weeke, SCM, or Shop Sabre equipment.

· Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks) is highly desirable.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
