POSITION SUMMARY

Assembles by hand, uses hand tools or portable powered tools and/or operates equipment as necessary in order to produce or process products as specified. May work as part of a team assembling an entire product or component of a product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform assembly of products not limited to small, light subassemblies.
  • Follow technical instructions, company procedures and directives or interpret drawing for assembly.
  • May align components by hand, using hand tools and/or portable powered tools.
  • Move hand together with arm or hands to grasp, manipulate and assemble product.
  • Perform visual inspection under microscope.
  • Make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to handle and turn object.
  • May rotate through production assembly tasks as necessary.
  • May perform final check and adjust for any defects to ensure quality product.
  • May be assigned to various workstations as production needs require or shift from one station to another.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, follow safety and personal protective equipment guidelines, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to possess strength and good reflexes and dexterity.
  • Ability to keep and utilize hand and arm and keep arm steady while moving hand.
  • Ability to quickly move hand together with arm or hands to grasp, manipulate and assemble.
  • Ability to perform finger dexterity.

Pay Rate: The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience with the industry, education, geographic location, etc.
