Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Software Engineer to join our growing team. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, implementation, and testing of software solutions that support mission-critical defense applications. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers in a professional and technically focused environment.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Participates in a waterfall development and testing process to produce reliable software solutions for mission critical systems.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to software and mission problems.
• Participates in all of the software disciplines available including UI, Infrastructure, and back-end development.
• Interfaces with Management, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Operations, and Trainers to generate thorough solutions to problems.
• Is self-motivated to uncover software issues, explore solutions to resolve them, and can communicate the issues and solutions with the team.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update or enhance existing software capabilities.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.

Experience: At least 0-2 years’ experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.

• Proven knowledge and experience around object-oriented programming.
• Experience with C++ and/or Qt as well as SQL.
• Candidate should be familiar with RedHat Enterprise Linux and git.
• Experience with Bash preferred.
• Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
