SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer II.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP is currently seeking a full-time mid-level Software Engineer. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. This role will work closely with a team comprised of government and SEACORP personnel requiring strong programming, problem-solving, and communication skills. This role will help to lead the development process so effective sprint planning, task delegation, code review, and testing coordination skills will be utilized.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
- Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
- Maintain databases within an application area.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
- Advise customer about or perform maintenance of software system.
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems.
- Direct software programming and development of documentation.
- Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
- Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.
- Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.
- Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
Experience: 3 years of experience.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
- Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
