The Health Information Management Department supports the mission and goals of Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale, and Grace Medical Center by ensuring timely and appropriate access to health information to support continuity of care and authorized requests.

Remote Work Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate improvements in the overall quality and completeness of medical record documentation.

  • Collaborate extensively with providers to obtain appropriate and accurate clinical documentation.

  • Conduct in-depth reviews of assigned cases involving Maryland Hospital-Acquired Conditions (MHACs) and ICD-10 code-related quality indicators.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional knowledge.

  • 5+ years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), or Medical Doctor (MD).

  • 5–7 years of relevant healthcare experience, with demonstrated expertise in clinical documentation improvement.

Certifications:

  • Active Maryland license as an RN, PA, or MD.

  • Clinical Documentation Improvement certification (CDIP or CCDS) with 2–5 years of CDI-specific experience.
