About This Position

JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for onboarding and development of new advanced providers. Will facilitate advanced practice and medical student educational rotations through the health system. Assist in identifying current team members enrolled in advanced practice degrees and notify them of our current health system needs. Provide ongoing education and remediation to advanced practice providers.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
- Coordinates onboarding and orientation for all advanced providers hired by the health system.
- Oversees and coordinates all new advanced provider orientation for 12 weeks or experienced providers for 8 weeks.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and specialty physicians to create an impactful didactic portion of orientation.
- Develops and maintain preceptors that provide quality orientation experiences for new team members.
- Creates and maintain initial competencies for new team members.
- Creates and host an annual Skills Fair to demonstrate competency and introduce new evidenced-based practice recommendations, along with new products.
- Coordinates continuing education opportunities for the health system.
- Assists in remediation of advanced practice providers that demonstrate knowledge deficits or do not meet quality of care standards.
- Facilitates the placement of advanced practice providers and medical students throughout the health system.
- Coordinates all aspects of student placement and work with school liaison to ensure all necessary documentation is done for the student, school, and health system.
- Participates in school advisory committees and recruiting events for advanced practice providers.
- Identifies current team members seeking advanced degrees and notify them of the health systems current and potential needs.
- Assists Learning and Organizational Development in meeting strategic goals.

EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirement:
- Master’s degree
- Maintains active advanced practiced licensure/certification (APRN, CRNA, PA) in applicable states .
- Preferred qualifications:
- Doctorate or terminal degree.
- 3 years leadership experience
- 1 year educator experience.

- Constantly required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer.
- Frequently required to move about inside the department.

- Constantly required to operate a computer and telephone.
- Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
