Accounting Manager in Duluth, Georgia at Nth Degree

We are looking to add an Accounting Manager to Nth Degree’s corporate accounting team. We are looking for someone that will be very hands-on with the day-to-day accounting functions as well as be able to lead a small team. Must be prepared to do complex journal entries, reconciliations, month end financial reporting and analysis and will oversee a team of 3-6 people.

You will report directly to the Controller and be based out of Nth Degree’s corporate office in Duluth GA. We do function in a hybrid capacity; typically, two days in the office, three days remote.

Salary is $90,000-100,000

What You’ll Do:

• Lead monthly close processes for at least one business segment
• Review and/or prepare complex entries
• Maintain and/or improve financial controls
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff to foster professional development within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights on account analysis and financial performance.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliation and ensure timely account reconciliation processes.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
• Responsible for supervision of rebate accounting, lease accounting, equity accounting and bad debt reserve analysis, along with other assigned areas
• Capably handles several projects simultaneously and works effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
• Performs miscellaneous related duties and special projects as assigned

Who You Are:

• 3 years in supervisory roles
• Strong US GAAP experience and technical accounting work
• BS-Accounting or Finance
• Large ERP exposure such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
• Large company and multi-location experience
• Private equity or public company experience required
• Highly detail oriented, organized in work, and a desire to learn
• Advanced MS Excel skills
