POSITION TITLE: SVP, Director of Retail Banking
LOCATION: TBD
DEPARTMENT: Retail
REPORTS TO: Chief Banking Officer
SUPERVISOR TO: Financial Center Managers
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time
STATUS: Exempt

DEPARTMENT | ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Retail Banking will be responsible for overseeing the retail banking operations and acquisition strategy within a defined geographical area of the bank's footprint. This leadership role involves managing branch performance, driving customer engagement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services tailored to the local market's needs. The Director of Retail Banking will work closely with branch leadership, sales teams, and other departments to align business objectives and achieve growth targets for the assigned markets. The role involves strategic partnerships with other banking leaders to optimize the bank's branch network, ensuring alignment between retail objectives and the market growth objective.

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
  • Supervise retail branch managers and the overall function of the branch
  • Supervise Business Development Officers and overall deposit gathering effort within the Georgia footprint
  • Oversee audits that directly affect Retail and Cash Management functions
  • Coordinate business development opportunities with retail team, lenders, and Community Presidents to uncover opportunities that match the Banks overall growth goals
  • Create, update and review policy for retail, deposit operations and more to structure company for growth
  • Set deposit goals and objectives for the bank with assistance from ELT and internal committees such as ALCO
  • Stay abreast of and analyze developing industry trends for community banking
  • Assist with any cross-selling needs of other lenders or employees to gain additional business
  • Report growth as well as strategies in bank meetings and participate in Board meetings as needed
  • Work with other departments, such as HR, IT and Compliance, to provide support for your team
  • Cultivate relationships within the community and civic groups to represent the Bank
  • Participate in strategic planning
  • Assist with customer requests for assistance or new products such as a loan or account as needed
EXPERIENCE | QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • 15 Years of banking experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Successful history of Bank Leadership with a focus on Deposit growth and management
  • Strong familiarity with the financial regulatory landscape and navigating
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • College Degree Preferred
COMPUTER / SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Microsoft Suite of Products
  • Jack Henry Product Experience Preferred
