Medical Room Assistant (PRN) at Nexus Recovery Center – Dallas, Texas

POSITION: MEDICAL ROOM ASSISTANT
TYPE: PRN (AS NEEDED)
PAY RATE: $18.24 Per Hour
AVAILABILITY: Monday through Friday, 2:00PM-10:00PM

POSITION SUMMARY:
The medical room assistant supervises client self-administration of medication. They are responsible for monitoring medical concerns and arranging for client medical care. Medical room assistants must be accurate, effective, and efficient in all medication processes.

POSITION DUTIES:

Maintain client files according to licensure standards.
Update client appointment schedule(s) for medical providers and counselors.
Perform drug screens account to current protocol, entering results in CMBHS.
Track and complete financial eligibility updates in CMBHS.
Order and replace supplies as needed to maintain stock level.
Schedule random callback appointments for medication counts and drug screens.
Maintain documentation on CMBHS and Welligent.
Perform various clerical tasks, filing, copying, etc.
Assist nurse manager in completing assigned audits for quality monitoring.
Attend team meetings and monthly All Staff Meetings.
Provide emergency director as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Associate degree
EXPIERENCE: Six months of experiences relating to chemical dependency.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
