Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Housekeeping Associate is responsible for performing routine housekeeping and cleaning duties to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of Wilson Creek Winery facilities and property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties represent the core responsibilities of a Housekeeping Associate (Part-Time). Other related duties may be assigned consistent with the nature of this role.
- Assist facilities staff/management with day-to-day on-site cleanup to include trash movement, cardboard bundling, moving tables/chairs.
- Cleans and removes litter from common areas and entryways to the property.
- Monitors restrooms for stock and cleanliness.
- Periodically patrols buildings and grounds of the property to ensure facility cleanliness.
- Locks up and verifies that all doors and windows are secured properly.
- Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
- Records all data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, building violations, and maintenance needs for use by supervisory staff.
- Reports any problem areas to supervisor.
- Notifies the supervisor of any needed supplies or equipment.
- Maintains appearance of supply room.
- Maintain floors by sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing as needed.
- Maintains appearance of rooms/buildings by dusting furniture and washing walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, mirrors, door panels and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets in common areas, offices and transports trash and recyclables to disposal area.
- Perform other duties as requested.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, turn, and reach; and use hands, wrists, and arms. The employee must be able to communicate effectively and perceive auditory and visual cues in a dynamic environment. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up 25 pounds. This position involves work in both indoor and outdoor environments where temperatures may fluctuate.
