Personal Care Assistant for ALS Client in Columbia, South Carolina at Palmetto Family Homecare LLC

NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED CAREGIVER / CNA

ALS CLIENT – COLUMBIA, SC

Palmetto Family Homecare is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide care for a female client diagnosed with ALS in the St. Andrews / Bush River area of Columbia, SC.

We are looking for someone who is patient, attentive, physically capable of performing transfers, and knowledgeable about caring for individuals with advanced neurological conditions.

CLIENT CARE NEEDS:

• Client is bedbound and non-verbal.
• Client has no functional use of her upper or lower extremities.
• Assistance with all activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Mechanical Hoyer lift will be used for patient transfers.
• Assistance with personal care, hygiene, positioning, and daily comfort.
• Provide compassionate, attentive, and respectful care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience caring for clients with ALS or similar neurological conditions.
• Hands-on experience using a mechanical Hoyer lift and other patient-care equipment.
• Knowledge of safe patient transfers and positioning techniques.
• Experience providing total care to bedbound clients.
• Reliable, compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Must be comfortable providing hands-on personal care.

SCHEDULE:
Monday – Friday and/or Every Other Weekend

Location: St. Andrews / Bush River Area – Columbia, SC
