Senior Technical Delivery Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Delivery Manager based in United States.

This role leads the delivery of complex, integrated online assessment systems in a fully remote environment. You will coordinate technical delivery across multiple applications, systems, and cross-functional teams while ensuring client requirements are accurately translated into successful deployments. The position combines technical project leadership, requirements management, system configuration, user acceptance testing, and risk mitigation. You will act as a trusted liaison between clients, program managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders. Success requires strong organization, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding timelines. Your work will directly contribute to reliable, high-quality digital assessment experiences used in education environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the delivery of highly available online systems supporting one or more assessment programs, coordinating integrated systems with complex cross-system dependencies.
  • Scope, document, and track development requirements for new features and enhancements, including coordinating gap analyses between existing product capabilities and client or program requirements.
  • Own the technical specification process and documentation across online systems, partnering with program managers, clients, and technical system managers to ensure expectations are clearly captured.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) in collaboration with program managers and technical project managers, ensuring systems meet requirements before deployment.
  • Investigate, triage, and resolve technical escalations and client inquiries, independently providing accurate guidance on system behavior and capabilities.
  • Develop sufficient product and system knowledge to effectively support technical delivery, troubleshooting, configuration, and client communication.
  • Coordinate or oversee system configuration changes in accordance with established production change-control processes.
  • Lead risk management activities by identifying potential delivery risks with system leads, program managers, and client stakeholders and developing mitigation plans.
  • Own large-scale system deliverables involving multiple applications, including planning, scheduling, impact analysis, coordination, and deployment.
  • Maintain proactive communication with client program managers and other client-side stakeholders to ensure strong customer service and delivery visibility.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, shifting between priorities while maintaining quality and meeting demanding deadlines.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, peer reviews, status meetings, and other working sessions with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate closely with technical and program teams to ensure integrated deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technical delivery initiatives involving multiple integrated systems or applications.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts, including data relationships, basic web application components and characteristics, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude and willingness to learn basic SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear documentation and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience developing technical specifications, requirements, test materials, or comparable project documentation.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across technical teams, program managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously when investigating issues, responding to client inquiries, and driving deliverables forward.
  • Strong team-oriented approach and ability to build productive relationships in a distributed, cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking and project-management platforms such as Jira is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight timelines while maintaining a high standard of quality and customer service.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Full-time employment with the opportunity to lead complex technology delivery initiatives.
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, education, assessment, and client delivery.
  • Cross-functional exposure to technical teams, program managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Opportunity to contribute to systems that support digital assessment experiences for educators and students.
  • Collaborative environment emphasizing simplicity, reliability, customer focus, and timely execution.
  • Equal opportunity workplace committed to valuing diverse backgrounds, ideas, and experiences.
  • Professional growth through exposure to complex systems, technical delivery processes, requirements management, and large-scale deployments.
