Are you searching for not just a job, but a calling? Door of Hope, a Christian nonprofit serving families facing homelessness, is seeking Coverage Staff.
Coverage Staff provide coverage at Door of Hope’s transitional housing locations on an on-call, as-needed basis. Coverage Staff assist in keeping families accountable to uphold the Resident Policy Manual and to continue progressing toward their goals.
Hours
- On-call, as-needed basis
- Door of Hope communicates available shifts, including location and hours; Coverage Staff choose which shifts to work
- Some shifts may be overnight
Responsibilities
- Connect with families when possible during shift, offering support and encouragement
- Maintain healthy boundaries with parents and children
- Keep families on schedule during shift, maintaining order in facility
- Ensure safety of facility, strictly adhering to protocols in place to keep families safe
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety of site, especially focusing on common areas
- Respond to and assist in resolving any issues, complaints, or conflicts that arise during shift
- Report facilities needs/repairs immediately
- Answer calls and front door (donors, volunteers, etc.)
- Provide a work site report at the end of each shift
- Perform any other task necessary to support the mission of Door of Hope
Qualifications
- Must demonstrate maturity, sound judgment, good communication skills
- Ability to supervise and hold others accountable in a communal living setting
Compensation
Compensation: $18.57/hr.
