Mechanic Assistant (Full-Time) in PHOENIX, Arizona at Penhall Company

Job Summary:

The Mechanic Assistant supports shop operations by assisting senior mechanics with maintenance and repair of vehicles, tools, and equipment. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with basic mechanical knowledge who are motivated to learn and grow in a hands-on environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with oil changes, filter replacements, tire repairs, and other basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Help dismantle and reassemble mechanical parts using hand and power tools.
• Support mechanics during scheduled and non-scheduled repairs and inspections.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop environment.
• Perform safety checks and assist with basic vehicle troubleshooting.
• Help maintain accurate service records, parts tracking, and maintenance logs.
• Support inventory control by checking and restocking parts and supplies.
• Assist with equipment deliveries and service calls as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, or extended hours when required.
• May be required to travel locally or regionally for field service support.
