Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintenance and remodeling of the Rimrock’s buildings and caretaking of grounds. Minor boiler and air conditioning maintenance. Assure adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s Mission to the community.

PEFORMANCE STANDARDS:

1. Update and complete all work orders as assigned.

2. Maintenance of all off-site facilities including routine maintenance, upkeep and repair.

3. Responsible for cleaning and monitoring parking area and walkways, including snow, leaf and debris removal from sidewalks.

4. Responsible for maintaining clean mechanical rooms and work areas.

5. Assist in maintaining fleet of vehicles: fueling, cleaning, and basic maintenance.

6. General carpentry and remodeling, including reading blueprints, framing, plumbing, sheet rocking, mudding and taping, interior and exterior painting.

7. Complete landscaping projects to include sprinkler systems, sod, planting and removing plants and trees, and any other projects assigned.

8. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or Director of Facilities.

Models professionalism by addressing others with appropriate actions, appearance, and communication. Models and promotes effective written and verbal communication.

8. Customer Service – Supports the organization’s customer service initiative. Strives for service excellence by seeking challenges and turning them into opportunities. Anticipates and meets needs of patients while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Displays a friendly, helpful, and approachable demeanor. Obtains feedback from patients regarding their perceptions of the service provided to them and utilizes this information to improve service delivery.

10. Quality Improvement – Assures that information is collected, organized, reported and used to improve the quality of systems and services. EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school education, special vocational training preferred.

CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE: Current driver’s license and State of Montana Boiler Maintenance License preferred.

SKILLS: Ability to read, measure and calculate. Ability to safely use basic maintenance tools and painting equipment. Ability to interact in a friendly and courteous manner with residents and other staff.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normally consists of work included in general maintenance. Lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds from time to time. Stooping, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching about 75% of the time. Full manual dexterity required. Driving of company vehicle required. Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance on ladders.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Indoors and outdoors at all Facility locations.
