JOB SUMMARY:
Provide therapeutic supervision to clients, assure security and safety of facility and assist counselor as needed. Provide case management and coordination of services within the Adult Inpatient Treatment Programs. Assure adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s Mission to the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct discharge planning and arrange continuing care, psychiatric monitoring as needed, and medication monitoring for all discharging clients.
- Conduct care coordination of clients to include scheduling client appointments and coordinating legal, financial and housing services as assigned.
- Provide therapeutic supervision of clients and client activities, including maintaining the client’s program schedule.
- Report all incidents, unusual events and emergencies immediately to the Safety Manager or Manager of Residential Services according to Rimrock’s policies and procedures.
- Assist clients with therapeutic assignments.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and in-services.
- Provide orientation to new clients.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services or Social Work field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree is required. At least one year of experience working in Mental Health or SUD field is preferred.
CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be insurable under Rimrock’s driving policy. May not have more than 2 violations/accidents or suspensions/reinstatements within 3 years. May not have any DUI/Reckless/Felony driving convictions within 5 years.
SKILLS: Communication; ability to take direction and work adjunctively with therapeutic team; provide empathy and possess a knowledge and compassion of clients with addiction and implement positive reinforcement of clients. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is indoors in a residential environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, standing, walking, use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions in a residential setting. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving required. Some outdoor exposure when supervising clients outdoors and in recreation programming. Will work primarily at a residential facility.
