Job Description
Primary Function: Responsible for assisting the Loss Prevention Manager in the overall activities of the Member Services and Collections Department. Maintain all records and documentation required for the Safety Deposit Area. Supports efforts to meet established department goals and minimize operational losses. Assists in the planning and organizing activities of the
departments. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
Requirements:
• Minimum of two years of experience in a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and organizational skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following:
• Assist members with transactions such as general inquiries, wire transfers, account changes, and research.
• Responsible for representing the company in small claims, municipal, and bankruptcy courts, assisting with risk analysis and mitigation, identifying risk management issues and trends, and providing reporting to management.
• Assist members in resolving problems/disputes/safety deposit box access. Advise members of their responsibility to repay loan accounts according to the original agreement.
• Oversee the preparation of delinquent accounts for charge-off requests.
• Maintain accurate records of all safety deposit box records and assist IT in sending out yearly notices.
• Respond to members’ inquiries by phone and in person.
• Process mail-out member requests for services, loans, new accounts, and printouts.
• Maintain log sheets for transfer and research, fee refunds, and other pertinent information.
• Keep the Manager advised of any unusual occurrences. Abide by applicable laws, rules,and regulations governing collections activities. Maintain contact with the outsourcing agents and provide them with the necessary reports and information to assist in the collection process.
• Research information requests, determining accuracy, and offering solutions to resolving member conflict; making necessary corrections with manager approval or forwarding work to other departments for corrections. Report results to the manager.
• Maintains member’s information confidential.
• Must follow all ACFCU’s policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of all state and federal regulations that apply.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
