Join a growing finance team responsible for building and strengthening a bank-grade regulatory reporting function within a fast-evolving financial services environment. In this role, you will help establish scalable reporting frameworks, robust financial controls, and regulatory processes that support operational excellence and compliance. Working closely with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Data, and Operations, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of regulatory reporting while contributing to a strong governance framework. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in collaborative, high-impact environments and enjoys improving processes in a remote-first workplace.

Accountabilities:
  • Build, implement, and continuously improve regulatory reporting frameworks and financial controls to support banking operations.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and submit regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability to the general ledger and underlying financial systems.
  • Support month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting tie-outs, and financial controllership processes.
  • Partner with Finance, Credit Risk, Treasury, Data, and Operations teams to improve data quality, reporting workflows, and source-to-report processes.
  • Design scalable reporting procedures, documentation, and internal controls that meet audit and regulatory expectations.
  • Monitor reporting deadlines, identify process improvements, and contribute to the development of an efficient and reliable finance function.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve reporting issues and strengthen governance across financial operations.
Requirements
  • CPA designation with 6+ years of progressive experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, controllership, or audit within banking or other regulated financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial regulatory reporting requirements, with the ability to reconcile regulatory submissions to financial statements and the general ledger.
  • Experience designing or improving reporting processes, controls, and supporting documentation in evolving business environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience managing complex reconciliations and reporting dependencies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive timely execution.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth organizations.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary of CAD $125,000 – $140,000.
  • Fully remote position available anywhere in Canada.
  • Flexible working hours and a remote-first, trust-based work environment.
  • Opportunity to play a foundational role in building a bank-grade finance and regulatory reporting function.
  • Collaborative culture focused on ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Career growth opportunities within a rapidly evolving financial technology organization.
