Product Manager, Planning

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Planning based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of intelligent enterprise planning solutions within a fast-growing software environment.
You will own the roadmap and execution of advanced planning capabilities that help organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions.
Working closely with engineering, UX, sales, and customer teams, you will transform complex business needs into impactful product experiences.

Accountabilities:

As a Product Manager, Planning, you will own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of innovative planning capabilities while collaborating across teams to build scalable enterprise solutions. You will be responsible for translating customer needs and market insights into impactful product features, driving AI-powered enhancements, and ensuring exceptional user experiences.

  • Define and manage the product roadmap for dynamic planning capabilities, aligning priorities with business goals and customer needs.
  • Create detailed product requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering, QA, and UX teams.
  • Partner with design and engineering teams to develop intuitive planning experiences for finance and operations users.
  • Integrate AI capabilities such as predictive analytics, intelligent scenario modeling, anomaly detection, and natural language interactions into product workflows.
  • Conduct customer research, competitive analysis, and market evaluation to identify opportunities for product differentiation.
  • Advocate for product vision and strategy with customers, partners, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product adoption, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Define data models, calculation requirements, and planning workflows that support flexible enterprise use cases.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, prototyping, analysis, and product development processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating product performance and gathering feedback from users and internal teams.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong product management experience with expertise in financial planning, enterprise software, and AI-enabled solutions. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced SaaS environment, communicating with technical and business stakeholders, and driving products from concept through execution.

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Program Manager, consultant, or similar role within enterprise software environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, operational planning, FP&A, CPM, or EPM solutions.
  • Experience building or managing planning and analytics software products, either as a product leader, implementation consultant, or business user.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML capabilities, including large language models, predictive analytics, or AI-assisted workflows.
  • Experience using generative AI tools, copilots, or automation solutions to improve productivity and product development processes.
  • Understanding of driver-based planning, rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, workforce planning, and financial modeling concepts.
  • Ability to define user experiences through wireframes, mockups, and collaboration with UX teams.
  • Knowledge of enterprise performance management concepts, including reporting, analytics, data integration, and multi-dimensional modeling.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex product requirements effectively with engineering, QA, marketing, leadership, customers, and analysts.
  • Experience with modern product management tools such as Jira, Figma, Google Docs, Pendo, Claude, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of SaaS development models, cloud technologies, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to independently research, synthesize insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executives and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based customers or global enterprise stakeholders is preferred.
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading product team members is a plus.
