The Student Life Coordinator is responsible for supporting and enhancing the overall student experience through the development, coordination, and implementation of student engagement programs, leadership initiatives, and campus activities. This position promotes student involvement, personal growth, inclusion, and retention by fostering a vibrant and supportive campus environment aligned with the University’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement student activities, leadership programs, cultural events, and campus-wide initiatives.
  • Support student organizations and assist with event planning, registration, and operational logistics.
  • Encourage student participation and promote campus involvement opportunities.
  • Advise and mentor student leaders and organizations.
  • Assist with leadership training workshops, student orientation, and development programs.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming campus environment.
  • Assist in addressing student concerns and refer students to appropriate campus resources when necessary.
  • Maintain records, reports, event calendars, and assessment data related to student life programming.
  • Assist with budget tracking, purchasing, and event documentation.
  • Support marketing and communication efforts for student programs through social media, flyers, and campus announcements.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and campus partners to support student success initiatives.
  • Participate in University committees, events, and special programs.
  • Assist with evening and weekend programming as required.
  • Ensure activities and programs comply with university policies and procedures.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Counseling, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience in student engagement, campus activities, leadership development, or higher education support services.
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
