CHMC - OFFICE NURSE I(RN)-Family Medicine in OGDENSBURG, New York at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center

Pay Range: $36.54-$60.29*

CHMC- Family Medicine- Office Nurse I (RN) – Per Diem-7:30a-4p- Day Shift – Requisition 7599

Provides care for patients in an ambulatory, Behavioral Health care setting in collaboration with a mid-level practitioner or physician. May include supervision of LPN's or support staff. Due to the isolated nature of clinic practice, demonstration of ongoing professional growth is mandatory. Strong patient teaching skills. Knowledge of growth and development across the life span with the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care. Sustained efforts to maintain current knowledge base regarding professional and practice issues.

REPORTS TO:

• Clinical Coordinator and/or Director of Mental Health Unit

EDUCATION:

Required:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Current NYS RN license

• BLS certification (infant, child and adult CPR) required

Preferred:

• ACLS desirable

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Three (3) years Behavioral Health or other related nursing experience

• Strong patient teaching skills and an interest in mental health and psychopharmecology

• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span with the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care

• Sustained efforts to maintain current knowledge base regarding professional and practice issues
