About This Position

Position Description: The Benefit Implementation Specialist is responsible to provide administrative and analytical support to the benefits program, processes and system improvement initiates. This role serves as an internal subject matter expert to the benefits team. This is an in-office position. Position Responsibilities: 100.00% - Responsibility #1 - Benefit Liaison
Set up and implement online open enrollment.
Gathers and verifies benefit information from client.
Evaluates and determines new benefit set up feasibility and discuss with internal leadership.
Act as Liaison and Subject Matter Expert between insurance agencies, internal staff and clients.

Responsibility #2 - Benefit Auditing
Contribute to the auditing and quality process for benefit implementations. This will ensure that all setup, including deductions, plans, benefits and all other information regarding the group have been created and provided prior to passing to the Benefits Team (assigned BA).
Audit/Test and verify that all benefits, deductions, and any other necessary information is properly set up in the system.
Audit groups/plan set up.
Review all policies and documentation for accuracy and quality standards.

Responsibility #3 - Personal Development
Keeps up to date on changes to benefit law/regulations and state and federal law through continuing education and publications.
Continues to learn and grow as a Benefits professional through continuing education.
Completes all mandatory training by established deadline.
Share ideas that will help you and/or the company grow.
Additional job duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Benefits Implementation Specialist - 3 to 5 years work experience in Benefits or related field required.
Experience in PEO (Professional Employer Organization) preferred.
Highly ethical with the ability to understand and review state and federal law, as well as company policies and procedures.
Understanding of basic ACA regulations principles
Knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Effective communication, both verbal and written
Attention to detail.
Highly organized
Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Time management
Ability to effectively multi-task
Interpersonal skills
