Position Summary:

The Admissions Administrative Analyst is responsible for conducting administrative and operational support activities, analyzing and responding to inquiries, coordinating office processes, researching, analyzing, and preparing data/statistics, and assisting with program operations within the admissions office and university services. This position includes responsibility for university call center operations, frontline communication, and support of admissions and university related functions. The position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts administrative studies and coordinates operational activities to support admissions processes and university functions, including systems for communication, mail distribution, and inquiry response.
  • Assists in the planning, organization, and management of the university call center operations, ensuring calls are handled professionally, routed appropriately, and inquiries are resolved accurately and efficiently.
  • Researches and provides accurate information to prospective students, families, and the public regarding admissions procedures, university services, and general institutional information.
  • Coordinates and supports admissions office activities by assisting with daily operations and visits, including processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and supporting large-scale mailing initiatives.
  • Provides customer service support by greeting and assisting visitors, managing messages, and ensuring timely follow-up on requests and inquiries.
  • Monitors and evaluates communication workflows and administrative processes to improve efficiency and ensure effective service delivery.
  • Composes correspondence and responds to written and verbal inquiries, interpreting institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate communication.
  • Conducts procurement and budgetary duties under the direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment, the Director of Admissions, and the Associate Director of Admissions.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of procedures related to admissions support and front-facing administrative operations.
  • Acts as a liaison between admissions, university departments, and external stakeholders by facilitating communication and providing guidance within areas of responsibility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a student-centered customer service approach.

• Proficiency in admissions management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

• Knowledge of planning, research, and analysis techniques and procedures.

• Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews as well as research, prepare, and present comprehensive written and oral reports.

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• An earned GED or high school diploma.

• At least one (1) year of experience in public relations and/or in a higher education environment is highly desirable, including experience working with a CRM system.

• Must have a valid driver's license and qualify to drive on state business.

Preferred Qualifications

• An earned baccalaureate degree in an academic field from an accredited institution of higher education.
