Cleaning Associate- Room Attendant

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Cleaning Associate-Room Attendant/Lead is an essential member of the hotel’s Cleaning Team. In this role, you help shape the guest experience by ensuring every space is impeccably clean, comfortable, and welcoming. With a focus on professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail, you contribute directly to an environment where guests feel relaxed and valued.

This position requires a solid understanding of Impact’s processes, policies, and procedures to consistently deliver services that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your purpose is simple but powerful: to create the world’s cleanest commercial properties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and refresh guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas to the hotel’s highest cleanliness standards.
• Replenish linens, guest amenities, and supplies with accuracy and care.
• Inspect rooms thoroughly to ensure they meet cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
• Maintain organized, tidy, and discreet service and storage areas.
• Respond to guest requests with respectful communication, courtesy, and a genuine service-first attitude.
• Demonstrate consistent professionalism through polished appearance and positive customer interactions.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns promptly to ensure uninterrupted guest comfort and operational safety.
• Safely operate, store, and maintain housekeeping carts, tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Comply with all workplace health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in accordance with Canadian regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is an asset, though not required.
• Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications for tasks and reporting.
• Able to successfully complete a background/security check in good standing.
• Respectful communication style
• Strong sense of pride in your work and commitment to quality and cleanliness.
• Degree: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality, housekeeping operations, or customer service is considered an advantage.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Cleaning Associate may be required to work variable shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours as required by hotel operations.

PHYSICAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS
•Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
•Ability to lift upto 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull cleaning carts
•Perform repetitive cleaning tasks (mopping, wiping, vacuuming)
•Comfortable using cleaning equipment and supplies
•Able to see and hear clearly to follow instructions and observe safety hazards
•Ability to work independently and follow cleaning checklists
•Perform work in commercial buildings, including evenings or nights
