About This Position
Position
This job is classified as full-time (37.5 hours/week) and is a funding-based position.
Apply by: Will remain open until a suitable candidate is secured.
OverviewThe candidate will work in consort with the CFO to maintain financial accountability requirements
- Ensure accuracy of quarterly reporting.
- Assist our Client with their reporting, forecasting, and budget amendments.
- Work daily in Teams to ensure documents are saved, filed, and shared appropriately.
- Keep track of timelines of reporting and past-due reporting.
- Communicate directly with our Client to support them in their reporting.
- Assist in creation of contract documents pertinent to funding (ie. Contribution agreements, payment letters, updated cashflow templates, etc.) as needed.
- Other related duties as directed by the CFO and CEO.
Location: Edmonton, AB
Responsibilities- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products, specifically Excel and Teams.
- Possess at least three years of accounting / financial knowledge, terminology and how to use accounting software (Sage50). or similar
- Capacity to quickly learn software.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule demanding work assignments.
- Develop and maintain efficient and effective recordkeeping systems and procedures.
- Possess advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess a working knowledge of financial cashflows, budgeting, forecasting and other financial documents such as income statements and balance sheets.
- Ability to gather and research relevant data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of urban Indigenous Movement, structure, and processes will be considered an asset.
Post Secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related equivalencies; at least three years of accounting and/or finance experience that relates to the duties and responsibilities
