Director of Sales, Aspen Collection

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Sales, Aspen Collection based in United States.

This is a senior leadership opportunity to build and scale a premium lifestyle brand’s wholesale business from the ground up.
You will own the end-to-end wholesale strategy, from multi-year revenue planning to account and territory expansion.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on relationship building across boutiques, specialty retailers, and department stores.
A major focus will be developing a high-performing independent sales rep network and expanding distribution across priority markets.
You will serve as a senior commercial representative to buyers and retail partners while protecting brand positioning and pricing integrity.
The role offers significant visibility with executive leadership and the opportunity to establish the infrastructure, partnerships, and processes that will shape future growth.
Success will require strong commercial instincts, deep industry relationships, and the ability to turn an emerging wholesale channel into a scalable growth engine.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the end-to-end wholesale growth strategy, establishing multi-year revenue targets, door-count goals, channel priorities, and expansion plans across resort/ski specialty, fashion lifestyle boutiques, and department store flagship locations.
  • Develop the long-term wholesale organizational structure, including the rep group network, territory coverage model, partner strategy, performance expectations, and reporting framework.
  • Build and activate relationships with boutique owners, buyers, independent specialty retailers, and other strategic accounts to accelerate distribution and sell-in.
  • Identify emerging and high-potential retail partners that align with the brand’s premium positioning, aesthetic, and target customer.
  • Identify, negotiate with, onboard, and manage independent sales representative groups, ensuring strong territory coverage and alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Represent the brand at regional and national trade shows and market events to identify new accounts, source sales talent, and strengthen industry relationships.
  • Own the health and performance of the wholesale account base, including seasonal buys, order management, sell-through, reorders, and overall account development.
  • Partner with finance and operations on forecasting, inventory allocation, order fulfillment, margin management, and wholesale planning.
  • Ensure wholesale operations run effectively across systems, vendor portals, retailer requirements, and compliance processes.
  • Establish and maintain brand standards across wholesale partners, including pricing integrity, discounting practices, marketing guidelines, and channel fit.
  • Present wholesale strategy, pipeline, performance, opportunities, and risks to executive leadership on a regular basis.
  • Build the processes, infrastructure, and reporting needed to scale the wholesale function as the business grows.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in wholesale sales, account management, sales leadership, or independent rep group management.
  • Deep, established relationships with fashion lifestyle boutiques, independent specialty retailers, and relevant buyers.
  • Demonstrated success owning a wholesale channel strategy from planning through execution, including multi-year growth planning and executive-level reporting.
  • Proven experience building a wholesale channel or door base from an early stage, including developing teams, territories, processes, and partner networks.
  • Strong network of boutique owners and buyers that can be leveraged to open new doors and accelerate distribution.
  • Strong understanding of independent sales representative networks and rep groups serving the boutique and specialty retail market.
  • Experience attending trade and market events to develop accounts and identify sales partners.
  • Strong commercial judgment and demonstrated ability to own revenue targets, door-count objectives, and strategic plans.
  • Expertise in retail math, margin management, and Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning, with familiarity with wholesale systems, vendor portals, and retailer compliance.
  • Executive presence and excellent communication skills, with the ability to present strategy and performance credibly to senior leaders.
  • Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills, particularly within relationship-driven boutique and specialty retail environments.
  • Ability to balance aggressive growth objectives with brand protection, pricing integrity, channel strategy, and premium positioning.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, entrepreneurial environments where processes and infrastructure need to be built from the ground up.
  • Familiarity with premium or luxury-adjacent lifestyle brands and their channel positioning is preferred.
  • Previous experience managing an independent sales rep network is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range of $98,000–$142,000, with eligibility for a bonus.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance programs.
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) programs.
  • Life insurance.
  • Paid time off and paid leave programs.
  • 401(k) savings plan.
  • Employee ski pass and dependent ski passes.
  • Additional company perks and employee programs.
  • Regular full-time employment with opportunities to work in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
  • Reasonable accommodations are available throughout the application and employment process for qualified individuals with disabilities.
