Junction City Rehabilitation of Cascadia is a leading skilled nursing and rehabilitation center committed to providing exceptional care in a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Manager to oversee the overall safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility and grounds. The Role
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising and performing maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all building systems, grounds, and equipment function safely and efficiently. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, coordinates repairs, manages vendor relationships, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs throughout the facility and grounds.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair projects that require third-party contractors.
- Direct and participate in maintenance of utilities systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to ensure continuous operation.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Prepare and manage the department budget; monitor expenditures and control costs.
- Recommend and implement measures to improve operational efficiency and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure the facility and grounds are attractive, clean, and well maintained.
- Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for operations.
- Lead and supervise the Maintenance Assistant (if applicable).
- Participate in facility safety and process improvement programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire life safety, water regulations, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in long-term care or healthcare facility maintenance strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license (State of Oregon).
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Understanding of building codes, OSHA, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
