Group Instructor- Enrichment in New Milford, New Jersey at Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges Inc

Under the direction of the Program Administrator, the Group Instructor is responsible for the overall operation, continued development and implementation of enrichment programs in the Greater Bergen County YMCA Enrichment department. The position is responsible for, communicating with parents, establishing procedures, and ensuring the program reflects the YMCA’s commitment to child safety as well as offering a program in the assigned class.

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of three years of experience in enrichment programming , working with children in a group setting.
• Experience adhering to Licensing requirements.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and independent judgment and making decisions within the guidelines of the YMCA.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications and Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
• Must have flexible work schedule.
