Overview
Jensen Meat Company is seeking dependable and motivated Temporary Staff to support our manufacturing operations. This position is designed for individuals interested in gaining experience in the food manufacturing industry while assisting various departments based on operational needs.
Temporary employees may be assigned to departments including, but not limited to:
Production
Quality Assurance
Sanitation
Shipping & Receiving
Warehouse
Packaging
General Operations Support
Assignments may change throughout employment depending on business demands, staffing requirements, and employee performance. Successful employees who demonstrate strong attendance, performance, teamwork, and adherence to company policies may be considered for full-time employment after approximately 90 days, based on business needs and available openings.
Requirements:Primary Responsibilities
Production & Operations Support
Assist with food production, packaging, labeling, sorting, and general manufacturing activities.
Follow work instructions, production schedules, and supervisor direction.
Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality expectations.
Assist with material movement and staging throughout the facility.
Quality & Food Safety
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Report quality concerns, damaged product, or safety hazards immediately.
Support product inspections and quality standards as assigned.
Sanitation & Facility Support
Assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment, workstations, and production areas.
Properly dispose of waste and maintain housekeeping standards.
Follow sanitation procedures and chemical safety requirements.
Shipping, Receiving & Warehouse Support
Assist with receiving, storing, staging, and preparing materials for production.
Help load, unload, and organize inventory as directed.
Support inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
Teamwork & Safety
Work collaboratively with supervisors, leads, and coworkers across multiple departments.
Follow all company safety policies and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, sanitation, food production, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work in refrigerated environments and around food processing equipment.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to wear required PPE throughout the workday.
