Position OverviewVision Quest Solutions is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to support the Adult Care Unit (ACU) at Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility, part of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service.
This is a full-time inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing opportunity serving the Navajo Nation community. Nurses will provide direct patient care in a hospital environment while working collaboratively with physicians, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotating day and night shifts
- Approximately 7 shifts per two-week period
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Schedule determined by the Supervisory Nurse based on patient-care needs
- Provide comprehensive adult Medical-Surgical nursing care
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments
- Perform IV access, phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
- Participate in emergency response and code situations
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely Electronic Health Record documentation
- Follow IHS, Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, infection-control, and patient-safety standards
- Provide culturally respectful care to American Indian and Alaska Native patients
- Assist with patient transport or additional unit coverage when required

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license from any U.S. state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
- Minimum 36 months of professional nursing experience
- Minimum 24 months of recent Medical-Surgical or adult inpatient nursing experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to satisfy IHS credentialing, health, immunization, and federal background requirements
