Job Description:
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring that the details match purchase orders and receipts.
- Enter invoice information into the accounting system, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all transactions.
- Prepare and schedule payments for approved invoices, ensuring they are made on time and in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, resolving discrepancies and answering questions.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Support the accounting team during month-end and year-end closings, including reconciling accounts payable ledgers.
Job Requirements:
- General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices.
- Experience with QuickBooks online is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Minimum of a High school diploma plus 3-5 years previous accounts payable experience.
- Knowledge of 3-way match
- Excel skills a plus
