Job Description
Position Scope:
This position supports daily yard operations by managing equipment staging, inventory documentation, and customer interactions. The role ensures a clean, organized, and efficient yard environment while delivering a high-quality experience for both internal teams and external customers.

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Customer Experience
- Greet customers promptly upon arrival and maintain a friendly, calm, and attentive demeanor.
- Communicate clearly and proactively regarding machine prep status and timing.
- Ensure all required customer paperwork is signed, recorded, and stored appropriately.
Equipment Handling & Staging
- Receive, barcode, and reposition new and used machines as needed.
- Remove customer stickers from used equipment.
- Hook up hydro-mechanical work tools to verify functionality prior to delivery.
- Stage machines for customer pickup, shift preps, and nightly parts trucks—within 30 minutes of internal notification.
- Inventory & Documentation
- Perform weekly inventory scans and reconciliations.
- Complete shipping/receiving records in DBS.
- Send photos of received used machines to the Manager
Yard Maintenance & Safety
Keep the yard clean and organized; wash dirty machines and attachments proactively.
Conduct daily yard walks to check for open doors, misplaced equipment, damage, or safety concerns.
Communication & Coordination
Respond promptly to phone calls and text messages.
Maintain clear communication with internal teams to support smooth operations.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Prior experience in yard operations, equipment handling, or a related field preferred; familiarity with construction or heavy equipment is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills and comfort using mobile apps/systems (e.g., Record360, DBS) for documentation and coordination.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to pass background check, physical exam and drug screening test.
Work Environment:
The environment is collaborative, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams such as operations, sales, parts and service. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you may need to address emerging issues and balance multiple priorities. This position is primarily outdoors and requires working in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow. The role involves physical activity, operating equipment, and navigating a busy yard environment throughout the day. Personal protective equipment must be worn in areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, employees must be careful while performing onsite services.
