Job Description
Position Scope:
The Heavy Rents Specialist is responsible for driving rental revenue growth by developing strong customer relationships and expanding market presence. It plays a key role in managing the full rental lifecycle—from quoting and logistics coordination to fleet utilization and performance tracking. The role requires close collaboration with sales, service, and used equipment teams to ensure equipment readiness, timely maintenance, and exceptional customer service. Success in this position supports both operational efficiency and long-term customer loyalty.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Education Requirements:
Four-year degree required with concentration in business administration, supply chain management or related field. Relevant work experience can replace education requirement.
Essential Job Functions:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and loyalty.
- Prospect new accounts to grow Stowers’ rental market share.
- Prepare accurate, competitive rental quotes using Salesforce/CRM.
- Coordinate equipment delivery and logistics with operations via DBS.
- Monitor fleet availability and utilization to optimize efficiency and profitability (DBS/iStowers).
- Collaborate with sales, service, and product support to ensure a seamless rental experience.
- Partner with the used equipment and service teams to monitor fleet maintenance and repairs in order to maximize profitability.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Caterpillar equipment to provide expert recommendations.
- Track rental performance metrics and support demand and revenue forecasting.
- Ensure accurate processing of rental transactions, documentation, and billing (DBS/Unit 4).

Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite is required. Salesforce and DBS experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with heavy equipment operation, valuation, rental or sales is not required but is preferred.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to shared goals and fostering positive relationships.
- Must be able to pass background check, physical exam and drug screening test.
Work Environment:
The environment is collaborative, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams such as operations, sales, parts and service. Flexibility and adaptability are key as you may need to address emerging issues and balance multiple priorities. The workplace fosters a customer-focused culture, where excellence in customer service quality, both internally and externally, is a primary objective.
Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but occasional travel to customer sites, sales locations, equipment yards or other relevant areas may occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, employees must be careful while performing onsite services.
