Description:

Summary This position acts as a liaison between the training department and the operations teams ensuring strategic alignment and execution of training standards 100% in the regions/districts they support. The Field Leadership Trainer partners directly with the Regional Operation Mangers, District Operations Leaders, and Team Leaders to ensure the highest execution of our training and development programs and the success and retention of each leadership trainee while supporting long-term bench development goals in the districts they support. All activities of this role are focused on increasing customer satisfaction, profitability, and efficiency through training and mentoring Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders. This position requires regular travel among all company locations and reliable transportation, as on-site presence is essential for supporting training and development. The position will generally include one administrative day per week, with the remaining days spent in the field.

Essential Functions

Training and Development

  • Train and mentor store associates/store leadership through knowledge transfer in Crosby’s locations.
  • Develops and delivers critical training initiatives for all store associates.
  • Support the implementation of leadership development Initiatives.
  • Schedule and conduct Assistant Team Leader certifications.
  • Fully track, assign, implement, and collaborate with the Food Service Specialists for the Food Service Certifications.
  • Monitor recently promoted store leadership for additional training needs.
  • Collaborate with District Leaders to evaluate skill sets and develop targeted training for store leadership: document accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with Instructional Designer and Manager, HR Operations on the development and implementation of training processes and programs.
  • Assist in new store opening training-related activities, such as training days, leadership support, and participation in the soft and grand openings, as assigned.

Compliance and Evaluation

  • Engage leadership to ensure compliance with standard operational procedures and company policies, documenting accordingly.
  • Evaluate store audits for recommended training.
  • Report on training compliance results.
  • Conduct care visits with leadership trainees 60 and 90 days after placement in role.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Collaborates with District Leaders to determine training store placement of leadership trainees.
  • Collaborates with the HR Business Partners to address any performance issues in coordination with the site leadership.
  • Contributing Member of the SOP team.
  • Participates in Region / District conference calls, representing the Training Department in delivering new training initiatives.

Administrative and Support

  • Support training tracking and administrative responsibilities.
  • Assist with scheduling and administrative tasks related to training programs.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School education required
  • College Degree preferred, but not required
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, and the restaurant industry, with preference given to candidates who have spent time in a leadership training capacity
  • Previous working experience as a trainer/leader for a minimum of 2 years, preferred.
  • Positive can-do attitude, service-oriented, high energy, flexibility, and creativity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills; must be comfortable speaking in both large and small-group settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact easily with diverse groups of employees across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Must have reliable transportation. Traveling/driving is required to many remote locations regularly.
  • Must be available to work - days, nights, and weekends to accommodate the schedule of the leadership trainee being visited.
