Job Description

Senior Human Resources Business Partner

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner based in United States.

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic advisor to leaders across a portfolio of corporate teams, helping shape people practices and business outcomes.
You will bring broad expertise across performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development, and workforce planning.
The role combines hands-on HR partnership with the opportunity to design scalable processes and frameworks that benefit the wider organization.
You will coach leaders at all levels, including senior executives, and provide thoughtful guidance through complex and high-stakes people decisions.
Success in this role requires strong judgment, curiosity, and the ability to uncover root causes rather than simply address symptoms.
You will also have the opportunity to explore AI-enabled tools and innovative approaches that improve the effectiveness of HR operations.
This is an influential role for an adaptable HR professional who thrives in a fast-moving, distributed, and high-performance environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary HR partner for a portfolio of corporate functions, advising Directors, VPs, and executive leaders on performance, employee relations, compensation, career development, and workforce planning.
  • Lead annual performance review, calibration, promotion, and merit processes for assigned organizations, managing activities from preparation and facilitation through final outcomes.
  • Coach and develop managers to build high-performing, accountable, and inclusive teams, including providing guidance through challenging performance conversations.
  • Advise leaders and employees on complex employee relations matters, balancing employee needs, organizational principles, and business priorities.
  • Partner with business leaders on strategic people initiatives by identifying underlying challenges, aligning stakeholders, developing solutions, and driving execution.
  • Design and improve HR processes, frameworks, and practices that address root causes and can scale beyond individual teams or portfolios.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to streamline HR activities such as employee relations documentation, policy development, workforce planning, and other recurring workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how the broader People team operates by sharing effective approaches, tools, and lessons learned.
  • Informally mentor HR colleagues and contribute to strengthening HRBP practices across the team.
  • Navigate ambiguous people and organizational challenges with sound judgment, data-informed decision-making, and a strong focus on business impact.
Requirements:
  • Broad, hands-on HR experience gained in a fast-moving organization, with experience as an HR Business Partner, People Partner, HR Generalist, or in a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, rather than simply supporting, performance calibration, promotion, merit, or similar annual people processes.
  • Proven ability to advise and coach leaders through executive level, including handling sensitive, complex, and high-stakes conversations.
  • Strong employee relations expertise, with the ability to balance employee experience, organizational needs, policy considerations, and sound business judgment.
  • Demonstrated success owning ambiguous people challenges or strategic initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience designing, improving, or scaling HR processes and frameworks rather than relying solely on established procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to distinguish root causes and use data and judgment to guide decisions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions constructively, influence senior leaders without relying on authority, and build trust quickly across diverse teams.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, with a willingness to experiment, learn, and identify practical applications for HR work.
  • Strong ownership, adaptability, and comfort operating independently in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience creating scaled workflow improvements with AI or other technology is highly valued.
  • Experience navigating complex performance or calibration situations and mentoring peers in effective HR partnership approaches is a strong advantage.
Benefits:
  • Remote work opportunities across U.S. time zones.
  • A distributed and collaborative working environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • Exposure to strategic HR initiatives with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve HR workflows and practices.
  • Inclusive workplace culture focused on diversity, belonging, and employee development.
  • Supportive environment that encourages autonomy, ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
