Senior Copywriter

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Copywriter based in the United States.

The Senior Copywriter will develop compelling, strategically grounded copy for integrated healthcare advertising campaigns.
This role combines conceptual thinking, pharmaceutical communications expertise, and meticulous attention to accuracy and compliance.
You’ll translate complex healthcare and therapeutic information into clear, engaging messaging across print and digital channels.
Working closely with creative, account management, and other agency teams, you’ll help ensure every deliverable is aligned with the client’s strategy and brand.
You’ll take concepts from initial development through final execution while maintaining high standards for quality and consistency.
The role is well suited to an experienced healthcare copywriter who thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven agency environment.
Success will require strong writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising quality.

Accountabilities
  • Develop strategic and creative copy concepts and tactics that address specific client marketing and communication challenges.
  • Create clear, compelling, and strategically aligned messaging for integrated healthcare advertising campaigns.
  • Ensure all copy remains on-brand, accurate, consistent, and aligned with the approved communication strategy.
  • Develop content across print and digital healthcare marketing materials, including sales aids, brochures, flashcards, email campaigns, websites, and related tactics.
  • Execute creative concepts from initial development through final completion, incorporating feedback and maintaining quality throughout the process.
  • Reference and annotate work accurately in accordance with AMA style and applicable project requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, account management, and other agency functions to strengthen campaign execution and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Manage assigned projects effectively to support delivery within established timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain a strong client-service mindset and contribute to a positive, collaborative creative environment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support project and team objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, graphic arts, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of professional creative copywriting experience within a medical communications or healthcare advertising agency.
  • Required experience in pharmaceutical advertising, with a portfolio demonstrating both tactical and conceptual copywriting expertise in at least one therapeutic area.
  • Proven experience developing copy for healthcare print and digital materials such as sales aids, brochures, flashcards, email campaigns, and websites.
  • Thorough knowledge of AMA style and strong attention to accuracy, consistency, and detail.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to develop creative solutions that address specific marketing objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated, professional, organized, and capable of managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining creative and editorial quality.
  • Advanced proficiency with PC or Mac environments, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing healthcare or pharmaceutical copywriting work is expected.
