NTRO RESEARCH ASSISTANT I at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center – Tampa, Florida

We are looking to hire an individual to participate in challenging and meaningful work to support the non-therapeutic studies under the research portfolio of the Non-Therapeutic Research Office (NTRO). This position will be responsible for building kits for various teams and assisting with the PEARL facility.

Our team comes from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including public health, psychology, biological sciences and more. There are opportunities for those who have worked in other areas of public health as well as those who are looking for a new and exciting opportunity.

These positions typically offer a Monday through Friday schedule, and we require on site work. Moffitt offers training and orientation.

NTRO Research Assistant I

• Support research projects under the direction of the Director of NTRO and Manager of PEARL.
• Engage in data collection, specimen handling, and participant interaction.
• Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical and translational research.

• Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments independently.
• Someone who is looking to gain hands on experience and grow within NTRO
• Work or student experience of any duration in a healthcare related setting or research setting, which may include student assignments.
• Interest in gaining BLS certification and phlebotomy skills

• Collect and prepare research data and specimens.
• Support biospecimen collection and documentation.
• Assist with data entry, chart abstraction, and research documentation.

Credentials and Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
