Shuttle Bus Driver in Waterbury, Connecticut at Post University

Employment Type: Full Time

Schedule: second shift, 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

As a shuttle driver, you bring students to and from campus, ensuring timely pick-up and safe drop-off. Shuttle routes may be in highly populated, high-traffic urban areas. In any area, drivers may provide transportation for events, including field trips, during and outside normal operating hours. While on the road, you are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for everyone inside the bus.

Must have a valid CT Driver’s License and PPE endorsement.

Experience working with Students is strongly preferred.

1. Eligible candidates must possess an excellent safety and clean driving record. Post University uses MVR reports as part of our pre-employment screening process
2. Must have positive energy and enthusiasm
3. Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and outstanding customer service when interacting with Students and their families.
4. Transport children and other passengers to and from stops along the shuttle route
5. Adhere to the assigned schedule
6. Obey all traffic laws
7. Always maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus
8. Ensure the safety of all students
9. Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed
10. Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route
11. Attend safety meetings as required
12. Transport Students to Special Events

Our drivers are responsible for ensuring that all clients are properly cared for as they are transported to and from their destination.
