We are looking for an experienced Personal Lines Underwriter to join our remote team. In this role, you'll evaluate and underwrite personal lines insurance policies (home, auto, renters) while ensuring compliance with company standards. You'll work closely with agents and clients to provide accurate and timely policy decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Review and assess personal lines applications to evaluate risk.

• Underwrite policies (home, auto, renters) and set terms and pricing.

• Communicate underwriting decisions to agents and clients.

• Ensure policies are updated and processed accurately.

• Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices.

• Document underwriting decisions and maintain risk management standards.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of personal lines underwriting experience.

• Strong knowledge of home, auto, and property insurance products.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Experience with underwriting software (e.g., Applied Epic, Vertafore) preferred.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

The pay range for this role is:

45,000.00 - 50,000.00 CAD per year (Ontario)
