Locations: Columbus, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time

Make a Difference Every Day

Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse who is passionate about person-centered care? Join our team and help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live healthy, meaningful lives in their homes and communities.

As an RN, you'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality nursing care, support direct care staff, and advocate for the health and well-being of the individuals we serve.

What You'll Do

  • As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of individuals receiving services. This position provides skilled nursing care, clinical oversight, and care coordination while ensuring services are delivered with dignity, respect, and a person-centered approach.
  • Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring health conditions to identify changes that require intervention. The RN collaborates closely with interdisciplinary team members, healthcare providers, pharmacies, caregivers, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and positive health outcomes.
  • The Registered Nurse is responsible for administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) orders, maintaining accurate medication records and inventories, and ensuring safe medication storage, handling, preparation, and administration practices. This role also provides clinical guidance and oversight to LPN/LVNs, direct support professionals, and other non-nursing staff, including delegation of nursing tasks when appropriate and in compliance with scope of practice requirements.
  • Additional responsibilities include providing health-related education and training to staff, individuals served, and caregivers; participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and service planning activities; and serving as a clinical resource to support quality care delivery.
  • The RN responds to medical emergencies, provides nursing intervention and follow-up care, and helps maintain a safe environment by identifying and reporting health and safety concerns. This position requires timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation, compliance with HIPAA requirements, completion of applicable billing documentation, and adherence to all organizational, state, and federal regulations, including CMS, HHS, and IDD standards.
  • The Registered Nurse actively supports quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives and participates in assigned on-call responsibilities, including after-hours telephone triage and nursing support as needed. Through strong clinical judgment, compassionate care, and effective collaboration, the RN serves as an advocate for the individuals supported while helping them achieve their highest level of health and independence.
