Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Team Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for guiding daily operations at The Drunken Minnow while actively working alongside the team. This position focuses on leading by example, supporting staff, and ensuring guests have a fun, welcoming, and high-quality food and beverage experience. The role partners closely with campground and Unhitched Management leadership to maintain smooth operations and a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Guest Experience

• Lead day-to-day food and beverage service while working alongside staff
• Set the tone for friendly, respectful, and guest-focused service
• Support, train, and mentor team members during shifts
• Address guest concerns in a calm and professional manner

Daily Operations

• Open and close the venue as scheduled
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards are met
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, kitchen, and dining areas
• Follow all food safety, health, and alcohol service requirements

Scheduling & Coverage Support

• Assist with staff scheduling and shift coverage
• Step in to cover shifts as needed to support the team
• Communicate staffing needs or challenges to management

Inventory & Supplies

• Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies
• Assist with ordering and receiving deliveries
• Help reduce waste and support cost-conscious operations

Collaboration & Events

• Support campground events, seasonal programming, and special offerings
• Coordinate with campground leadership during busy weekends or special events
• Adapt operations to seasonal changes in campground activity

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or bar/restaurant leadership
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to lead with a calm, positive, and solution-oriented approach
• Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• POS experience preferred

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
