Jenkins Electric, a Charlotte-based electro-mechanical repair company, is looking for an experienced AC/DC Electric Motor Mechanic to join our fast-growing team.

• Inspect various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions
• Measure for ad note need for replacement parts.
• Correctly requisition needed items from storekeepers, as approved by the supervisor
• Illustrate and/or document all relevant data specific to the unit’s electro-magnetic characteristics, operating condition existing damage, or intended serviceability.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical
• Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
• Test rewound electro-mechanical equipment according to Longo standards and document test results
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden structural damage or unusual conditions.

• Maintain a record of consistent attendance, stay on task during work hours, and be willing to work overtime when asked by the department foreman. (Attendance Expectation: M-F 7am 3:30pm)
• Provide feedback to company management on areas where improvements can be made.
• Represent the company favorably in interactions with customers and vendors.
• Perform all activities using proper safety equipment and procedures.
• Provide feedback to company management regarding unsafe equipment and procedures as appropriate.
