Production Supervisor at Michigan Metal Coatings Company – Sidney, Ohio

MMC is looking for a dedicated Shift Supervisor to perform a variety of tasks while taking pride in their work. Under the direct supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of the production department and product shipment by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and timelines.
• Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of production workers, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.
• Ensures Operators perform inspections for each order, in accordance with quality control standards and order requirements.
• Supervise all production, shipping/receiving, and maintenance personnel on his/her shift.
• Assume responsibility for all aspects of quality pertaining to his/her assigned shift.
• Assume responsibility for properly training new employees on his/her shift regarding production equipment, safety standards, and the quality system.
• Follow priority schedules generated by the Shipping Coordinator and Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure that delivery schedules are met, and customers’ needs are satisfied.
• Schedule production on his/her shift to ensure that maximum efficiency is attained while meeting customers' needs.
• Operate production equipment when necessary and fill in for employee breaks and absenteeism to minimize disruption of the process.
• Develops and maintains an effective department through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination, and review of department employees.
• Directs and supervises all department employees to ensure goals are established for the warehouse area.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment is helpful.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate production schedules and deadlines.
• Ability to travel to Michigan for as needed for support training and facility startup.
